Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and Indian cricket KL Rahul are all set to take their relationship forward. The couple, who is currently living together in a luxurious sea-facing apartment in Bandra, will be getting married soon. It is being said that they will be opting for a big-fat South Indian wedding. They will be tying the knot amongst their family and friends next month.
Yes, you read that right! If reports by Pinkvilla are to be believed, the couple will be opting for a winter wedding. They will be sending out their wedding invitations by December-end. It is being said that their wedding functions will start from January 21st and will last till January 23rd. The festivities will include haldi, mehendi, and sangeet apart from the wedding day. While the wedding preparations are in full swing, the happy couple and their families are yet to officially confirm theses reports.
For the unversed, the couple met through a common friend and instantly connected at their first meeting itself. They later fell in love and have been in a steady relationship for over three years now. They made their relationship official during the screening of Athiya’s brother Ahaan Shetty’s film Tadap in December 2021. Last month during a media interaction, Athiya’s father, actor Suneil Shetty had shed light on the on-going speculations about his daughter’s wedding to the cricketer. He told Hindustan Times, “I am looking at the possible dates. With both their schedules, we are figuring out things. Hopefully soon, we will know when and where will it (wedding) happen. I guess at the right time, everyone will know [details about the wedding].”
